Unbound Gravel with Ian Boswell, 2021 Champion
Frank Overton
Podcast
Coach Frank sat down with Ian Boswell fresh off his Unbound Gravel Victory to talk about his win. They discuss how the race was won, what he ate & drank, the equipment he ran and what his training was like beforehand (not as much as you think!).
Ian Boswell is a former World Tour Pro with Team Sky to name a few of his teams and has raced all three grand tours: The Giro, The Tour de France and the Vuelta. Point is Ian used to train a LOT, on the order of 25-30 hours a week all season long. And the point to that he's retained a LOT of adaptations (can you say mitochondrial density) that he clearly put on display to win the Unbound Gravel.
Coach Frank (the BigCat) dives into Ian's power data as well! Listen to the end to hear what Ian's spirit animal is as well as his racing plans the rest of the summer. Congrats to Ian for such a huge victory and best of luck the rest of the season 💪
